Question Which Distro will resize a Windows XP NTFS on one Hard Drive?

Hi,
I am trying to research which version of Linux should I buy that will give me an option to dual boot both Linux and Windows XP on my one hard drive. I have one NTFS partition at 40GB with tons of space available for my Linux install.

If possible, I don't want to spend extra $s on Partition Magic and was hoping to find this dual boot option already on one of the varios distros.

As a (total) Linux Newbie, I did read some posts here but couldn't get a sense if it is possible or not. Seems that Mandrake may allow you to do this easily..i hope :-)

I have a 40 Gig Hard Drive on one NTFS partition and a 1.4Gig AMD Processor with 512 MB of SD-RAM.

Any help from the board would be great!

Thanks..

I have used mandrake9.1 with good results. I suggest that you
also create a fat32 partition while you are at it. That way you
can read the ntfs and write to the fat32.
