Which chm viewer support setting for minimum font size?

Hi,

I have myopia. I read the documents with quite large font size (13). But some of chm viewer such as: kchmviewer, gnochm, xchm, ... open the .chm files with tiny font. I must click the Zoom in, larger button 2 --> 5 times to get the sastified font. Is there any chm viewer support setting for minimum font size?

Read the following quote from the KChmViewer FAQ: http://www.kchmviewer.net/faq.html
Quote:
Q: Font size increasing button does not increase the font size, just changes the font to bold once.
A: Make sure you use resizeable (true type) fonts. The described behavior is expected when bitmap fonts are used, as their size could not be changed. Check your system configuration.

Anisha Kaul, you don't understand my question, the "Zoom in", "Larger" button still works fine.

Yes, and I am sorry for that, I checked that too, doesn't work in Kchmviewer, which is indeed a problem, and I have started looking out for the solution. I'll post here soon if I can find something.

I also tried to 'borrow' the minimum font size setting from Firefox with CHM Reader add-on (version 0.2.3) but it didn't work. When I opened a new CHM file, nothing happens, it leaves in blank tab.

Updated: this add-on worked in Firefox under Windows.

This runs on Windows, its for you to see if you can get it through Wine somehow, or the VirtualBox.

Anisha Kaul, thanks for your enthusiasm. I've tried in VirtualBox but I didn't find out the setting for minimum font size, can you show me? Moreover, I don't want a shareware application.

I was not being enthusiastic, it is just that I mistakenly took your thread off the zero reply list, and to cover up that fault, I looked up for a chm viewer whose home page says:
"Free to set a comfortable font size to read", now if you think it is in some way better than whatever chm readers you have tried till now, you may like to contact the owners of that software and ask them if they support that option.

Also I feel it is a possibility that windows based chm readers may have the facility you want, if you search Goooogle more rigorously, you may find one.

And if you are keen on having a Linux oriented solution, you may also choose to personally request the moderators to delete the all above posts thus keeping your thread in the zero reply list, which will increase your chances of getting a solution.

Also, the major Linux oriented softwares have their own mailing lists, you can also mail them, if you don't get a solution here.
