It should go in user directory or in ~/Desktop

You can try to search for the file using
find or locate

http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?find
http://www.hmug.org/man/8/locate.updatedb

Note : On my FC3 Konqeror ask for evry file i want to dowload.

Where do you define it to go to.
here for example
#cd /home/slackerlx/Downloads/Sites
#wget -r http://www.gamefaqs.com
It will be downloaded to /Sites/www.gamefaqs.com
