Where are the applications in the filesystem. Or, where is the ".exe" kind of file ?

I used synaptic to install a torrent client in a debian based distro. I
want firefox to automatically use that app to open torrent files. I need to point firefox to vuze (formerly azureus) the torrent client.

where is it?

Executables go in bin directories. This one is probably in /usr/bin/. You can find out where all the files from a package are put with:

Code:
dpkg -L vuze
If you are able to run the command from the terminal "which" will show you where the executable is:
Code:
which vuze
Cheers,

Evo2.
