Where are browser extension details stored?

Running Opera, and am having trouble with the MightyText SMS extension.

Can't get an answer from them - I cannot sign out and sign in again with a different user

where would the configuration file for this be found?
it's not in .config/opera
the files in there I can't open to see if i can edit them.

so where else might I find where the info that the extension keeps finding and logging me in with?

It's JSON-formatted.
Look for "manifest.json"

Names/places/... depend on your installation.
What I mostly meant is the JSON format, many GUI editors can't read them in default.

Try nano ... and they will open.
If you're using gedit (default in GNOME) you'll need to change your preferences:
*Preferences
**plug-ins
***click on "External Tools"
