What windows VMware 4 network settings were successful for forwarding your connection
Somehow I messed up my VMware network settings and now linux won't pick up my connection ><. No, it's not a hardware problem, I already checked. I need to know what settings worked...

Refresh my memory, isn't there a GUI thing you can change in the program for each virtual machine? If there is, try the Brigded option. If there isn't a GUI and you messed something else up, well, that could be bad...

yup, there is. I use NAT for my Windows XP Pro and Windows 98 SE virtual machines, works well.

So, what's the problem exactly? It just doesn't work? You could re-install vmware (annoying) or you could just change the settings in the virtual machines to something else, then restart, then change them back.
