Question What terminal emulator is on the screenshot?

This:

What's the name of the terminal emulator? Is it available on GNU?

That should be xterm.
In that case yes you can get it:

- in debian just
Code:
 sudo apt-get install xterm
- red hat like linux
Code:
 sudo yum install xterm
Hope this helps!

I thought xterm doesn't have this menu which on the screenshot starts with "Fenster"...

Desktop looks like XDM/CDE (SUN sparc workstation?). My guess: XDM XTerm

Not sure if this is available for GNU based systems.
