what should i select types when booting ?


there have

linux
linux-enterprise
linux-failsafe
etc...

what is different between them ?

Re: select when booting

Hello,

Linux : the linux system, with the normal configuration.
Linux failsafe : the linux system with some safe options (to avoid hardware detection problems)
Linux-enterprise : never sow
Floppy ? : boot from a rescue floppy (/dev/fd0 - creation possible during install of the system)
Other entries you specified during the install/config of the boot-loader (Window$, ...)

You may configure this menu (entries, splash,...) :
see lilo or grub documentation and configuration files.

i use mandrake 9.2 and it's have linux-enterprise
i don't know what's better between "linux" and "linux-enterprise"
