What happens to screens?

Hi,
i have ati radeon 2600 graphics card,
fedora 9 ( because when fedora 10 tries to install blank screen appears after anaconda )
one 19" lcd monitor (1280*1024)
one 21" lcd monitor (1680*1050 or at least 1440*900)

i use driver of ati from ati website.
My problem is, i want to use both lcds as dual. But never succeed it.
When i succeed to use dual monitor 21" lcd never gives 1680*1050 or at least 1440*900 resolution.
When i succeed to use 1440*900 resolution at 21" this time a very strange thing happens, the screen at 21" shows another desktop environment as it is a new installation of fedora 9. My normal desktop and desktop settings dissappear on 21" but i can see my normal desktop at 19" as usual.

How can i see the same screen at these two lcds with different resolutions.
Kind regards.
