webmin - access denied
Whenever i try to connect to webmin at https://localhost:10000/ it just gives me access denied, doesn't even prompt for a password. Anyone know what i should do? I just did apt-get install webmin, but it doesn't work "out of the box". What configuration file do i have to modify to get it working? Thanks

I don't think webmin is running. Try typing, as root, webmin or webmin start at the terminal and then try again to hit it from within a browser as you are doing.

Did you check your firewall settings? If you use firestarter you will have to allow port 10000 i think, atleast thats what i had to do on mine

the only firewall i have is a router based firewall, i've tried settings with port 10000 open and it doesn't change a thing. I'm pretty sure it has to do with permission settings in the webmin configuration, ill have to look into it later.
