I've read the man page for vsftpd.conf, but a question still remains. I need to setup an FTP site and decided on vsftpd (obviously). My question is this: If I disable local users from logging in with:
Then how can I setup who can login and what directory that are chrooted to.
Here is what I want to do. I have an FTP server with a PHP/HTML frontend. The server will be used by some of out clients which I want to chroot to their home directory. At the same time I have a link to /var/www in my home directory so I can FTP the HTML frontend to the Apache server. When I turned on these:
Code:
chroot_local_user=YES
chroot_list_enable=YES
chroot_list_file=/etc/vdftpd/vdftpd.chroot_list
It should chroot everyone but my account, yet I'm still chroot'ed and I can no longer upload to the link to /var/www.
How can I set up vsFTPd to chroot everyone but me? The example above is supposed to work but it doesn't. Is there another way?
TIA
