vsFTPd Logging

I've been looking for some instructions for configuring vsFTPd logging. The answers I've found indicate the following parameters should be set:

dual_log_enable=YES
xferlog_enable=YES
xferlog_std_format=NO
log_ftp_protocol=YES

I've set these things, and I get amazing logging when FTP is used. When connecting via SFTP, I get nothing. What am I missing?

That sftp is not ftp. It is running over ssh. See what you can find for ssh logging...
see man sftp and man ssh_config

SFTP doesn't make use of the vsFTPd daemon, it uses the SSHd one instead.
The vsFTPd one is for normal ftp and - if well configured - ftps (ftp over ssl).
