Question voice anonymization?

Hey guys. First time poster here. I'm looking for a program to anonymize voice sound clips by changing voice characteristics, preferably open source. I found some programs that claim to do that, mostly crapware for windoze but I need something that is demonstrably secure which makes irreversible changes to the voices. There must be something like that out there!

You could use a text to speech engine - there's not even a hypothetical way to reverse that.

Orca?

Its for anonymizing interviews for a sociology experiment. There is a requirement for reliably anonymizing the data before storing them permanently.

Ah, okay. I use Ardour for all of my audio stuff on Linux. Looks like there's a vocoder plugin that might be worth a look, though I've never used it personally. http://www.sirlab.de/linux/download_vocoder.html

Seems like a good solution, i'll in the Ardour forum as well. Besides the actual program, are there any papers out there on digital voice anonymization? It would be very handy to provide a citation of the concept.
