VNC and HTTP

The Story:
I am running Fedora Core 3, VNC 4 and Mambo 4.5
Mambo runs on the default http port 80, VNC httpport is set to 81.
At work, only ports 80,81 and 443 are allowed through the proxy.

The Question:
What I want to do is run both VNC and Mambo without any clashes. I have noticed that when starting vncserver on the default port and changing the http port to 80 + displaynumber (81) my mambo site goes down. Would this be because of a clash of ports/http? Is there a way of running both mambo/apache/http at the same time as VNC AND changing the port of vncserver to work as well?

The Attempts:
I have started vncserver with the -httpport 81 option, which allows me to start the java vncviewer. However I am not then able to connect to vncserver unless I specify another port for it to run on. As the only ports allowed through my work's proxy are 80, 81 and 443 I'm a bit limited.

HELP!!!!!
