Question VirtualBox not recognizing iPod

I'm using VirtualBox 3.0.6, and it is not recognizing my ipod. Running lsusb on my machine shows that the ipod is connected and recognized by the kernel. My user is in the vboxusers group, and various other usb devices are appearing for use in guest operating systems, just not the iPod. Any help to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated

I am using an x86_64 system built from source (utilizing the CLFS book).

I had the same problem when I updated from VirtualBox-3.0.4_50677_fedora11-1.i586 to VirtualBox-3.0.6_52128_fedora11-1.i586.rpm so I simply reinstalled the older version VirtualBox-3.0.4_50677_fedora11-1.i586 - problem gone.

The guest OS is Windows XP so i can use iTunes...When I right click the usb devices icon on the VM's window, the iPod doesn't show up in the list of devices. I tried downgrading to 3.0.4 and I'm having the same problem. The iPod I have is an iPod Touch 2g jaibroken. I haven't upgraded the firmware to 3.
