Ok, so I have linux mint 16 64bit running as the host on an amd x2 3.0ghz system with 8gb of ram. I then have among other virtual machines a second system of linux mint 16 64bit running. It has full cpu and video card access and 2g of ram.
That system (not my host) constantly shows cinnamon and xorg taking between 10%-15% cpu. I have about 10 other virtual machines from windows versions to other linux versions and none of them do this same thing. This obviously is the only linux system with cinnamon but they all have xorg
My virtualbox settings for this guest system are:
2 cpu's, 2gb ram, chipset pIIx3 (have tried ich9 but it's the same), Enable I/O APIC, cpu execution cap 100%, PAE/NX unchecked (Tried checked and no difference), 128mb video (that's the full amount on my nvidia quadro fx 570.
Any ideas?
-Thank you
