video player with masking

During sporting events they sometimes show ads while continuing to show the event in a window. Is there a video file player which can on a hotkey press apply a preconfigured mask - a rectangular cut-out, to cover everything but the event window? If it can zoom it to fullscreen - even better. Currently I have to cover ads with 2-3 other windows.

Is this in a browser? You can use an ad blocker.

I wonder why you have such a requirement... but you could investigate if with mpv you can do something about this...
