vacation not working with postfix

Hello there,

I try to make vacation work on Mandrake Linux 9.1 with Postfix installed.
So I do the following :
1. postfix was already installed and is OK,
2. installation of vacation 1.2.6 -> OK,
3. creation of a .vacation.msg in /home/jmc. Here is the content :

Code:
[root@ticerosrv1 jmc]# more .vacation.msg
Subject: away from my mail

I will not be reading my mail for a while.
Your mail concerning "$SUBJECT"
will be read when I'm back.
4. creation of a .forward file. Here is the content :
Code:
[root@ticerosrv1 jmc]# more .forward
\jmc, "|/usr/bin/vacation -a jmc@ticerosrv1.xxx.com -a jmc@xxx.com -a jmc@ticerosrv1 jmc"
5. reinit of the db file : vacation -I

But when I send mail to jmc nothing happens (no answer) and the mail is delivered to jmc.

It is like if the .forward file was not found.

I try to put a debug version of vacation which does a /tmp/vacation.log file when called. When I call vacation by hand it does the log file (so the debug version is OK),
when I send mail to jmc : no debug file is created.

An idea ?

I've got this message on /var/log/messages :
Code:
Sep 15 23:25:31 ticerosrv1 kernel: grsec: signal 11 sent to (vacation:20163) UID(512) EUID(512), parent (local:16335) UID(0) EUID(73)
Sep 15 23:25:31 ticerosrv1 kernel: grsec: attempted resource overstep by requesting 4096 for RLIMIT_CORE against limit 0 by (vacation:20163) UID(512) EUID(512), parent (local:16335) UID(0) EUID(73)
What does it mean ? What is the RLIMIT_CORE ?

Thank's in advance.

I've resolve my pb.
The pb was that vacation try to open the file main.cf (under /etc/postfix) but has not the rights to do this.
It makes the vacation programs do a core file (segmentation fault).

A chmod on the main.cf file has resolved the pb.

To test, you do the following action with a simple user :
sendmail -f <user> -- (or something like this I don't remember exactly).

If this command works it's ok.

Finally it's WORK!

with the below option:

tux:/home/test/.forward
\test, "|/usr/bin/vacation -a test@xxx.com -a test@webmail.xxx.com -a test@tux.xxx.my test"

tux:/home/test # cat .vacation.msg
Subject: Out of Office From 1-10 Sept 2003
From: test@xxx.com
I will not be reading my mail for a while.
Your mail regarding "$SUBJECT" will be read when I return.

Run "vacation -I test"

Remember to set permission according to user
-rw-rw-r-- 1 test test 102 Sep 22 12:02 .forward
-rw-r--r-- 1 test test 12345 Sep 22 12:08 .vacation.db
-rw-rw-r-- 1 test test 168 Sep 22 12:01 .vacation.msg
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 2914 Sep 8 17:41 /etc/postfix/main.cf

Hope this can HELP!
