Hi,

I want to use 3 different of Live CD's for different tasks. It will be used on one physical machine.

The challenge for me is the limitation of the tools. For example, some of the Live CD's have XYZ office suite which I am fine with. If this suite is not available on my preferred LiveCD distributions, then can I install it to the local hard disk and use it with different Live CD sessions?
Some of the tools I am looking at are Open Office and Wifi LAN configuration tools.

Any solutions appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Probably, but it's one of those things you'll just have to try to be sure.

If you mount the local drive as /usr/local and install applications there, in theory they should work between distributions. Historically, /usr/local has been used to store applications on the local machine when the OS itself was loaded from the server and couldn't be modified by the local user, so the concept is similar here.
