Using Linux Redhat 9 to Backup Windows Server Files

Hello Everyone
Thank you in advance for the help. Here is my problem. I am using Linux RedHat 9 for Data file backup protection on a Windows Network (Server 2003) The Data files are are up to 10 gig and take a while to copy from the windows server to the Linux Computer. Is there a Linux command to use that will only see the modified or new files and only copy the new ones to the backup location without erasing the old files ?

Once again thank you for your time in my ignorance !
