use screenshot as icon for movie files

hi, is there any file browser (like nautilus) where avi, mpg, wmv files can use an screenshot as an icon rather than the default picture of a movie camenra.

is there a method for generating screenshots and using it as an icon for a file ?

Hi

Nautilus does this by default (for local files only). But you can change it in the preferences. It didn't in older versions. I'm not sure when this feature came, but it was a few years ago. If you are using RedHat 9, I think you should upgrade.

Hmm. I'm not sure, but you maybe need some codecs? I'm using Nautilus 2.28.1 that came with Ubuntu. It shows screenshot icons fine, and I never changed any settings. But I did install some extra codec packages so the movies will play in Totem.
