usage of disk space in a folder...


How can i see in the bash how much disk space is used by a folder??

I guess there is a simple command to see this info, but i have no idea :S

Like neo77777 mentioned, take a look at the MAN page for the du command.

The following command will give you the size of the current directory (including all sub-directories) and a grand total.
