Update by hand, Glibc screwed up, machine dead... now what...?

All,

Serious trouble over here. I had RH9 running perfectly besides up2date problems. Installed all new SSL's etc. which I also found on this site but nothing helped. So I thought of installing the new packages myself which up2date suggested. Then I ran into trouble while updating glibc. From that moment on I only got segmentation faults on RPM. Since I couldn't do anything I decided to restart the system. Then it hang with Respawning too fast; 5 minutes blah.

So, I did a reinstall keeping my existing partitions. Now I have a fresh install but my data is not accessable. I did some investigation and it appears that my 120Gb which had 10Gb left is fully in use with my data on my "old" partition and the fresh install on the 10Gb part.

How do I get my data back?

TIA, Greg

"How do I get my data back?"

Create some directories. Then mount the old partitions on your new directories.
