Unknown Computer Noises

I am hearing a struggling noise inside my computer. When trying to locate the noise, I took out the HD but still heard the awful noise, then took out the RAM but still heard it, & I stopped the fans inside with my hands & still heard it, & took out the CD drive & still heard it & it sounded like it was either coming from the CPU or the power supply which must have a fan inside of it. I am using this same computer right now. Obviously, I reconnected everything but I'm not hearing the noises at the moment.

Both the CPU and Power Supply have cooling fans. There may also be a fan on your graphics card. The fan on my graphics card went bad, and it was a brand new card. Best Buy made good on it though!

You need to find that source of noise asap. That ain't good in any case.

Can you describe the noise? For example, right before my last computer died I heard a "vvvrrrrrrooooooommmmmmm---eeerrrrrccccckkkkkkkk". That turned out to be a runaway process that crashed head on with the front-side of a bus.

In all seriousness, Linux Forums > Software is not the proper place to be asking this question. (Not sure if any forum is actually) You should probably take it to someone who can actually listen rather than reading what you describe.
