Uncompress sfArk file to sf2

A guitar soundfont that I like downloaded compressed as a sfArk file. How to uncompress it into an sf2 file in my soundfonts folder in musescore?

Probably obvious and simple but I can't find it. Thanks.

Have you tried the link referenced at https://musescore.org/en/node/126156?

P.S. I just noticed there is a converter listed in Synaptic from the Ubuntu repos, but the description says "It is based on the library sfarklib, which unfortunately only supports sfArk V2+ files."

Yes, tried that. It uncompressed to a .zip file that I still couldn't get unpacked to a sf2 that musescore could use.

The online converter didn't work either?

Nope. I used the option in the drop down menu to load the sfArk file from its URL. The online converter returned an error message saying the conversion had failed. Tried it several times.

I know the URL I gave is correct because I copied into Firefox and then pasted into the converter.

BUMP: Still haven't found a solution for this. Any further thoughts? sfArk to sf2 conversion

Thanks.
