Generally in redhat you would just modprobe the appropriate module in this case either e100 and/or e1000. You may also need the noapic module, it was required last I used that particular chipset, but that's been some years ago and may not be needed now. You should be able to 'modprobe drivername' to install it temporarily to see if it works, you can add it to your modules conf so it works on reboot. As far as the config for the actual ip and such goes look in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth# the file format is pretty well explained everywhere on the net.

While I do not use RHEL, I have used Centos earlier, and AFAIK, Centos is the unbranded copy of RHEL - roughly the same code, but different name. You see all popular linux distributions have publicly searchable hardware databases, and you have Google. So a quick search for "centos hardware database 82557 driver" gives many relevant results including these:
http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/...&post_id=80526
http://centos.org/modules/newbb/view...22415&forum=39

Are you sure that the driver is the problem?
Have you checked the network hardware with another OS or another distro like Ubuntu using a Live CD?

If you have those possibilities negated then try RHEL HCL
Hope that helps.
