unable to open Home folder

Hello,
iam a newbie i have installed kchmviewer in fedora core3 and updated database
and made kchmviewer default application for opening .chm files. after that when iam trying to open Home.desktop icon iam unable to open and view any folder contents
it says Kchmviewer unable to open .After that i have removed kchmviewer with

rpm -e kchmviewer*.rpm

and tried to open folder but it replies the following content

There appears to be a configuration error. You have associated Konqueror with
application/x-desktop, but it cannot handle this file type.

I have no experience with kchmviewer, but you can see the files in your home directory just by using 'ls' in a terminal window - if unix is new to you you should learn how to use ls, it has many powerful options. I find it in general faster and easier to use than a window for finding files, moving them, etc.

Home.desktop is not a folder. Desktop entry files are plain text files that you can open with a text editor. They look something like this
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Home
Type=Application
Exec=nautilus --browser
Icon=/usr/share/icons/Nuvola/scalable/apps/gnome-home.svg
Terminal=false
Name[en_GB]=Home
