I'm interested in UML usage for a specific purpose and wanted to get some information from the community.
I'm reading Jeff Dikes's book https://ptgmedia.pearsoncmg.com/imag..._Dike_book.pdf

and also querying Google for related articles.
most of what I find is how to run a UML instance and maybe set up network.

What is my goal
come up with the following setup - a UML instance that is also running a Linux Android/Linux Embedded platform driver of some network HW accelerator, this driver running inside UML will need to communicate over PCIE with a core level emulation (FPGA) of the HW accelerator. This will provide software development and debugging capabilities for HW in it's early stages.

What I'm trying to find

• Examples of real projects that use UML with HW interaction
• Material about UML HW interaction
• Anything that can provide evidence that such a setup is possible
• Any other thing that might be useful for such a project
