ubuntu hostname change

When i installed ubuntu I set the hostname to be ubuntu, but I want to change it to my domain name ( so that i dont get the error when logging in via ssh (sudo: unable to lookup ubuntu via gethostbyname())

also, so my terminal prompt says rather than admin@ubuntu
