Question Trying to install LibQB, syntax error near unexpected token `CHECK,'

I'm trying to install LibQB as part of pacemaker.

I have RHEL 6.3.

when I run ./configure I get
./configure: line 16244: syntax error near unexpected token `CHECK,'
./configure: line 16244: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(CHECK, check >= 0.9.4,with_check=yes,with_check=no)'

Does anyone know anything?
Thanks.

Usually I would see errors on compiles such as this when I am missing a system requirement of the installer such as gcc or some other compiler lib. I would search for more detailed information on libqb for the system requirements. Also I saw a specific mailing list rather than a forum for a user help group on their website.
