Triple Boot Fedora C2 and Suse and windows = big grub error
Hi everyone
I just installed fedora C2 today on my machine that already had windows. When I did that, everything was working fine, I could boot into both fedora or Windows. Then I tried to install SuSe also, but I also forgot to not install grub, so I accidentally installed grub over itself.
Now, I cannot get into anything but SuSe, not even windows. I need help on the attributes to set in the YAST bootloader settings so I can access the other two.
Right now, my hard drive is set up like this:
hdc1=windows
hdc2=fedora
hdc3=swap
hdc4=suse
My windows setup in grub is this:
root (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
When I boot Fedora, I get the error "Error 1: Filename must be an absolute pathname..."
I added fedora manually, but it didn't work, so I won't copy it.
What should I set my kernel setting in grub to be? Is there any way I can make this work?
Thanks
-Maneesh

You probably only need to edit /boot/grub/menu.lst in the SuSE installation. Boot into SuSE, then mount the Fedora partition and copy the /boot/grub/menu.lst or /etc/grub.conf file (whatever Fedora uses), then edit the Suse /boot/grub/menu.lst to correct the settings for Fedora and windows. Grub should then let you boot all three.

i've got the same problem. I had windows 2k, then added fc2 and it worked fine. then i added SuSE personal 9.1 and it uses it's own bootloader, with which i can't get into Fedora. i'm also having trouble mounting my fedora partitions. HELP ME
