Triple boot cylinder exceeds maximum supported by the bios

I have a system on which ive installed freebsd and rh9. Yesterday i installed suse 8.2. Apparently the disk disk geometry of this configuration is not acceptable to my bios. I get the error message 18: selected cylinder exceeds maximum supported by the bios.
freebsd and suse reside on hda and rh9 hdb. lilo is configured properly in the sence that other = sections are functional and point to the right place.
would grub make a difference? Or would installing installing the bootloader outside of the mbr make a difference?
thanks

Most computers made after 1997-1998 or so shouldn't have this problem. However, you might have to persuade your boot loader about this however. With lilo, the command "lba32" in the "global" section of /etc/lilo.conf should do it. Are you using lilo from your rh9 install to boot your Suse, Freebsd's boot loader, or the Suse lilo boot loader?
