Question traceroute


OS (RH7.3) w/linky router
Why is it when I run traceroute a command line i get 1 ***
2 ***
3 ***
and so on but if i run the traceroute from x it works? is there a command to bring up the GUI form a terminal? or what switch do I need ?

So what is it exactly that you need? bring up GUI interface to traceroute or bring up X? xtraceroute is a GUI interface to traceroute http://linux.tucows.com/internet/preview/31913.html

To bring up the GUI for traceroute from a command line will work!
I tried xtraceroute didn't work.
