Torrent Client's not working

Hi all my problem is that Transmission or Bit-torrent is not working. i have tried to run them as root but that does nothing. the error returned for bit-torrent is "tracker timed out" and transmission says "not available". im running Debian Lenny5 (this is a fresh install) any help would be great.

thanks!

Hi sir! if you are downloading from The Pirate Bay, you may be experienceing their new policy on Trackers.

Unfortunately, Transmission Bittorrent Client is a bit outdated and not fully-featured as some of the other High-quality Clients.

I would suggest you try qBittorrent, the one I use, for better support of newer technologies.

Then, after you have installed that, you can specify much larger limits for connections, peers, upload and download speed to maximize your performance.
