Thumbs up to run a html or php script with php5 command

I'am not at all specialized with php5/mySQL. I want to configure my laptop to start programming.

When I run the command php5 -a insert_book.php
I've got the error message : Interative mode enabled

I'am root and I use suse linux version 10.0

I would appreciate any kind of help to guide me.

Thanks

Vincent

Hi,
This is not an error message. The -a option tells php to use interactive mode. Try leaving out the -a option and see if this does what you expect.

Regards,
Jim
