I've a problem, i cant get tmpgenc to work. i've problems with the codecs in wine. i installed the divx codec via the windows installer and it worked
but i have no audio codecs, so i copied the codec dlls to the windows-system directory and registered them in the registry under drivers32 but for example the lame codec dont work
wine is configured for winxp, i tried winme and used the system.ini for registering, but without success.
i tried codec packs but the installers didn't work, i searched the web for help but i didn't found some, i just found statements that tmpgenc should work
please can someone help me? who has experience with this problem?
because transcode and mencoder are often a little bit difficult, also their frontends
sometimes i've some videos (avi) which i can't encode to mpg, i don't know why, and i think it will be too difficult and it will take too much time to get that problem solved
so tmpg is easy, just a few clicks and i have an vcd or dvd mpg
i think mighty programs are good, but for people who have not the time to discover the secrets they are without use.
