Thunderbird headers (too many)

Hi guys,

I have two header issues in Thunderbird:
  • When I forward mail (inline), Tbird includes all headers. I want it to give me only From, To, Subject, Date, and maybe Cc.
  • Same when I print mail. I get all the headers, but I want only the ones listed above. If I could get a pretty-print like Kmail does, that would be great, but I'll settle for just an ordinary print with the headers listed above.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure mine (1.5.0.8 linux) doesn't do this.

I've just tried forwarding in TB2.0b under Winders. It seems to include the headers you have selected in View/Headers in forwarded messages (ie. All of them or Normal ones). Similarly, if you have All set, a print (preview) includes all the headers, whereas it doesn't if you just select Normal headers in the View menu.

Do you happen to have View/Headers/All set?

I see the same behavior

My printouts are always prefaced by almost a full page of headers (that spamassassin markup can be big!), wasting a lot of paper to no good ent.

1.5.0.9 Thunderbird on Mandriva Linux 2007.

Changing the view options has no effect on the print behavior. Oddly, I have not found any discussion of this behavior on the net, nor any suggestions for a workaround...

Nope. I have all that turned off, and I still get all the damn headers. And this thread is kinda hot, so I think other people have been having trouble too. Still no solution, though.
