Smile The installation hang there when I install Oracle 10g.

When I ran the below command the installation hang there.

$/mnt/cdrom/runInstaller

I can run /usr/X11R6/bin/xclock command. So it seems that the DISPLAY setting works.

Btw, I ran it in the local system, not from a remote PC.

Is there any clue? Thanks.

Best Regards,
Jerry

You don't say which distribution of Linux you're using. I'd recommend having a look at http://www.puschitz.com/. There are howtos for getting Oracle installed as well as some forums. I've used the howtos to get several different Oracle versions running on Slackware, Fedora and Redhat systems, but I haven't tried the forums there.
