The ' and / keys cause Firefox start find...annoying

When I press the single apostrophe ( ' ) or forward slash ( / ), Firefox starts up a search (such as when you press ctrl-F). The weird part is that this seems to be inconsistant, sometimes it will do this with every press of the key and sometimes it won't. This is especially annoying when posting in forums making typing conjuctions and file paths a frustrating task.

Not really sure how clear I'm being so if you need any clarification just ask. Thanks in advance!

if you're using an entry form like submitting a post here, / wil lnaturally not be intercepted. when you aren't editing anything then it will do a search (note that the use of / is just the standard unix key to search in many apps, vi, less etc...) that's not inconsistent, just modal.
