Hey guys, I am looking for a system monitor that sits on my desktop and displays helpful system statistics like memory usage, cpu load, free disk space, etc.... i tried GkrellM, but its too flashy and i just didnt like it. i want something thats text based. if you've ever booted up the live bsd distro freesbie, you'll know what i mean....and i'll give $1,000 to the first person who posts a helpful response!!!!! alright thanks buddy, the check is in the mail! (and by mail i mean sitting in my bank account.) Thanks for the great tip, unfortunetly, torsmo has a problem with being logged in as root and using kde. although frowned upon by most, i have recently started logging into my system as root.....i started doing it to avoid the constant permission issues and typing my root password in 2000 times a day.....i am now addicted to logging in as root.....

hey good news...fixed that little bug.....turns out, by defualt, if your swap percentage is 0, you get a division by zero in the config file causing bugs....but when i took that out, it was good as new....thanks for the post, torsmo is working great.....
In the future, don't state your offering money, even if it is a joke. Some might take it serious and well, its against our rules to offer money for solutions, as its advertising to get members to look at your threads. Let this be your last warning please.
