Texas Flood Init System: anyone using it?

I've just stumbled across references to a boot accelerator called Texas Flood. Almost everything I can find on it is in Portuguese. I find references to Arch, Puppy, and Mint using Texas Flood.

If you have any information on compatibility (which distros it works/doesn't work in), boot issues, etc, I'd appreciate knowing about it.
