terminate mpg321 from ssh
I've, mostly, set up a box as a jukebox apliance and its set to load mpg321 and begin random playing of a specific dir as soon as it boots, what i would like to do is SSH into the box and terminate mpg321 and use mp3blaster for a higher degree of control. The reason i've set it up like this in the first place is that i won't always bother changing the player only if i feel like something different and this way i will work with out user intervention. The problem i have is that when i ssh to the box its a different instance so i can't access mpg321 to shut it down. So my question, is there any way to log into either the original instance, kinda like vnc for the commandline, to close mpg321 or to kill it with out doing any damage to the application or the file its playing.
cheers folks
