tcsh problems

i get the following when i start a new shell

manpath: command not found
dircolors: command not found
tr: command not found

how do i sort this out?

Also in another linux account i've got, there is no .cshrc file, which in itself is not a terrible problem, but how on earth can i make changes on the path stick?.

TIA

It looks like a simple issue with the PATH variable. When you preform this command:

echo $PATH

do you see /bin:/usr/bin in there somewhere? If not, you could reset the PATH variable:

setenv PATH /bin:/usr/bin:$PATH

(I think that this is correct tcsh syntax...)

Tried that, and it doesn't seem to make any difference

Any other ideas?
