tcpdump


Hello friends
Pls any one can tell me how to use tcpdump to send output mysql or any web data base

I read about snort, but am wondering if tcpdump can output to a database and how? pls

No, tcpdump can't write to a database, indeed I don't understand what you expect that to look like. I guess naturally you can disect traffic if you wish using libpcap to write your own disector and do what you will with it, but raw IP data into a database sounds horrific, there would probably be vast vast amounts of data that you'd never put into an RDBMS. Is there some specific angle on this for you?
