Suse Boot Question

Suse has the graphical bootup screen default installed.
When booting it gives you the message: "Press ESC to show details"
Is it possible to set a parameter in grub that the details are displayed by default. Just like when you pressed the esc key ?

login as root or run the Superuser file manager and navigate to /boot/grub. Edit the menu.lst file and find splash=silent. Change this to splash=off
