Question SuSE 9 envoronment variables

In SuSE 9, whenever I compile a KDE app, I have to say

export QTDIR=/usr/lib64/qt3
export LIBRARY_PATH=$QTDIR/lib64

Every time I login, is there way to do this automatically?
