Question suPhp, virtual hosts, and shared code?

OK, here's the setup I want to have:
I have virtual hosts for different sites under a user's home (public_html) that run with their userid and group.
I have a default virtual host that runs as a default apache id (myapacheid) and group.
All users with hosts are also in this group.

I then want to have a common set of scripts that I can offer to each user as pre-built applications using links to the core code in the default virtual host.

Currently I can do all that, my issue is this. When that core code is run using suPhp, it runs as the apache id (myapacheid) NOT as the user's id. Note that this is not actually the id that the server runs under, but the id of the default virtual host. Why doesn't it continue to run as the user/group specified under the virtual host it's running on? Is there any way to force that?
