sun java not working inspite of successful install

Hi...

I just installed the sun java on firefox 0.8. I got a " Installation Successful" message after the download was complete. However, when I restarted firefox and again opened sun.com page, it again prompts me to download the java plug-in. How do I get this working now ?

Regards,

amit
