sudo command usage???


Hi,

i am somehow new to Linux. I am user of Mandrake Linux in a network... earlier i don't have permission to install softwares. Now our admistartor given permission and said that u can install using 'Sudo' command ...but i don't know how to use it to install new software.....

i will be very thankful to you if u say how to???

sudo rpm -ivh /path/to/name.of.rpm

This ought to do what you want.
