stupid question, but please help :)

Hello... I have kind of a weird somewhat stupid question, but i'd like some input if you could... someone in my unix class at school asked the teacher how GNOME was said, do you pronounce it like G NOME, or is it pronounced as just NOME? Anyone know the official way to say it? lol

it's 'nome', although miguel has said he could care less how it's pronounced

hmm.. I always pronounced it G-NOME, just like G-NU.

I believe it is
G-NOME like gaaaaaaaaaa-NOME , just remove all the aaaaaaaa

Of course GNU is pronounced G-NU and NOT NOO

I've always pronounced it as gnome, you know, like Lawn gnomes. Just plain gnome. But I guess it could be pronounced as ganome.
